Division
Sorts out statistics of shipping tonnage of Carbon Fiber products by applications and kind of Carbon Fiber and publishes the so sorted out figures semiannually, also collects information on demand trend of Carbon Fiber and sorts out data for easy understanding.

Trade Division
Collects information on all kinds of agreements, arrangements and regulations related to world trade, rearrange them, exchanges such information with others and interfaces with authorities concerned whenever necessary.

Application Development Division
Carries out researches and studies on development of new applications of Carbon Fiber..

Environment Division
Carries out surveys and researches on global environment issues, LCA, handling of recycling, product liability acts (P/L Acts).

Recycling Committee
JCMA completed the METI funded project named "Energy Reduction on Carbon Fiber Manufacturing Process" from 2006 through 2008 fiscal year and demonstrated the manufacrure of recycled carbon fiber on the JCMA Pilot Plant.
JCMA is further promoting the new project for upgrading the carbon fiber recycling system and developing the end use application cooperated with Fukuoka Prefecture in 2009 fiscal year and with Fukuoka Prefecture and Omuta City in 2010 fiscal year.

Recycle-Business Exploratory Committee
Based on R&D done by JCMA, the mission of this committee is to explore the feasibility for establishment of recycle-business, using its recycling technology.

Promotion
of Standardization :
Various activities to coordinate JIS and ISO so as to standardize and to incorporate the committee's opinions into the establishment and revision of provisions of ISO and JIS are carried out. One of our committee members is acting as the convener for TC61/SC13/WG1 of the committee related to promotion of international standardization of Reinforcing Fibers including Carbon Fiber.

Seminar:
In order to enhance understanding on Carbon Fiber and its composite materials, the organization arranges lectures by specialists on selected, timely subjects every year.

REACH
Studied REACH regulation implemented at EU and made JCMA original Guideline how to handle Carbon Fiber related products. Interpretations and its latest status are being uploaded on our home page.

LCA
Life Cycle Analysis of Carbon Fiber is carried out and calculated global environmental impact. Example on Aircraft and Automobile are performed based on JCMA model. Advertising to public through various channels.
