Introduction to Products:
"KURECA"
- the first Carbon Fiber commercially manufactured in the world by Kureha in as early as 1970. -

It is produced by spinning of petroleum oil type pitch and has excellent properties such as high strength with lightweight, high abrasion endurance, heat endurance, corrosion endurance, electric conductivity etc.
Kureha has various forms of products depending on applications. String shape products made of raw material fiber are used for ground packing etc., and short cut Carbon Fiber is used for CFRP and brake pads etc. as substitutes for asbestos. Further, felt form Carbon Fiber molded into flat plate or cylinder shape is used for heat insulation materials for industrial furnaces such as heat treatment furnaces.
